Michelle and Jake felt like family from the first email and their wedding was a par-tay! These two are so special to us and their day was beautiful. The simple bridal party- a brother, a sister, and Jake’s sweet kiddos- let the couple focus on the incredible group of friends they’ve amassed.

09.11.2021 A few weeks before they said “I do” we got to meet up at a favorite park in Charlottesville to photograph Elise and Dillon. It’s always fun to photograph real-life friends and a fellow wedding industry pal. These are some of my favorite sessions, happy people tromping through the tall grass in the gorgeous […]

Wallace and Jeff’s southern wedding was such a joy to be a part of. They are high school sweethearts who got married in their hometown with all of their people. It was basically a dream come true! Wallace and Jeff are kind and welcoming and totally, completely in love. The kind of love that people can’t wait to celebrate!

We were honored to capture this love and so honored to know them both!

Our dear friends Michelle and Jake asked us to photograph this sweet season for them. Believe it or not, this session was about 10 minutes long and was in the pouring rain. It just goes to show it doesn’t take much to capture sweet people in love.

We got to meet baby Harrison at his house just a few days after his parents brought him home. The sweetest little guy in the sweetest little dream nursery. Simple and classic.

I love the sense of awe I see on Elizabeth and Kevin’s faces in these images. This sense of knowing this little boy so well and just beginning to know him all at the same time. These quiet moments at home right after a family welcomes the newest member are the most tender and special moments. I’ll just never get over it.

Rachel and Austin and little Miss Eleanor met us on the chilliest winter day at a park in Waynesboro as the snow melted for a quick maternity session before their family of three grew into a family of four. It was cold but the winter light was DREAMY and that tall golden grass has never looked so good as it did around this radiant mama.

We loved officially meeting these three (who have lived in the same community as us for years) and it was such an honor to capture them celebrating this season together.

Rob and Lauren had the most beautiful Charlottesville winter wedding. Their resilience and joy at celebrating the life they’re building together set them up to handle everything 2020 was about to throw their way. They love each other, they love their people, and they loved us so well. They came from a long lineage of love and friendship and it was so sweet to watch the way these two families came together and celebrated their children’s marriage beginning.

Caroline + Jon ended up with a date change and a venue change because of the pandemic but I don’t think their day could have been any lovelier. We celebrated in the backyard at Caroline’s dad’s house and it was the most gorgeous ceremony and reception overlooking the marsh (and the world’s longest dock).

We loved our low country wedding experience and can’t wait to come back

We got to explore the beautiful Big Spring Farm together and it was the most gorgeous backdrop for a film session. What a fun […]
