This morning has been a bit of a scramble because in typical Bethany fashion, I chose to run over the mountain to meet one of my favorite bloggers face-to-face instead of buckling down and doing work like finalizing this blog for publication. My sincerest apologies, but my day was made! I’ve officially met two of my top three bloggers in one summer. It’s been the summer of turning blogger friends into real friends. Maybe I’ll share more about that part of my life another time… thoughts?? Once upon a time I had my own personal blog and I loved it… sharing candidly all of my thoughts and dreams. I know in my heart that this is a safe place to do that again, but I haven’t quite determined how to create the balance between intimacy and inviting readers into our personal lives and remaining professional. Any thoughts or helpful suggestions are welcomed!
Onto my sweet friends Anna and Billy. Oh my. When we received the inquiry for this couple’s wedding it included an inspiration board for their Richmond wedding next spring. A girl after my own heart! We emailed back and forth and found a time to meet for coffee and they won us over on the spot. Meeting potential clients can feel like an interview, but we do our best to make them feel more like a double date instead. When you’re still chatting (coffee talk of course) on the way to the car, you know you’ve made a special connection. We were THRILLED when we received the email that these two trusted us enough to allow us to capture their day. It’s going to be a BEAUTIFUL celebration!
We met Anna and Billy in Richmond on the most beautiful summer evening for a tour of some of their favorite places and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Sun-drenched is the word that comes to mind as I look through these images. Bright and airy and light-filled and sweet. We wandered through parks and by the canal and finished with an epic view of the city from Libby Hill Park. These two are already real-life friends and we cannot wait to celebrate their day in the spring!
Anna and Billy, I hope you love these portraits as much as we do! We think they capture your sweet love and personalities and beautiful friendship so well and we can’t wait to do it all again on your WEDDING DAY! Love you guys!
cheers!
