Brittany and I (Bethany) have been friends for a few years now and we have quite a lot in common. We both work as nannies in the Charlottesville area, we both love to craft and create art (Brittany is a phenomenal painter), and over the past year we both got engaged and MARRIED!
(Actually Brittany told me she was engaged ON my wedding day! Love this sweet- and REAL- capture from Michael and Carina Photography. Don’t mind the fact that I may or may not be pants-less in this shot. Is that unprofessional? Oh well.)
So once the cat was out of the bag, the planning began! It was actually really fun to talk wedding preparations with a close friend so soon because 1. it was all so fresh in my mind and 2. it wasn’t MY wedding! Yay! 🙂
Brittany and Andrew planned a simple back yard ceremony with a s’more bar and coffee bar for their guests to enjoy (they had a reception for just their parents and grandparents afterwards). It was quaint and exactly what the couple wanted. We were so excited that they let us capture some portraits of their big day! Brittany wore the most beautiful short white dress with lace details and a white pea coat to stay warm (it was 37 degrees after all!).
Brittany and Andrew, you guys looked amazing and your big day was so sweet- we loved it! Thanks for your friendship- we can’t wait to live married life with you guys! Enjoy a few of our favorites from the day!
cheers!
