Growing kids, well behaved dogs, clients that feel like friends… a Sunday afternoon with these guys was GOOD!

We’ve had a lot of repeat clients this year and we’ve loved it! It’s been a dream come true to actually get to know our families and couples instead of just showing up, taking a few shots, and leaving. 

We got to photograph the whole Scruby clan for the first time at Veritas Vineyards last February and then we got to meet Emily and David’s newest addition at their home in October! (We found out later that E + D had given the big news that Ellie was on the way just before our February shoot and we think that deserves the credit for those big smiles!!) It’s been a full year for these guys! (And can you even believe how big Lydia is?)

Emily told us ahead of time that they had some four-legged members of the family to include in photos and we were a little nervous… we don’t really consider ourselves “pet photographers”. But we had never met dogs like these. Literally they were the best behaved six (that’s right SIX!!) dogs we’d ever met. We couldn’t stop saying how impressed we were. 

Scruby family, thanks for trusting us (yet again) with photographing your beautiful family! We were so glad to capture new members, how fast Lydia is growing, all of Ayda’s personality, and the sweet love you guys have for each other. Thank you for inviting us into your home(s) this year and making us feel like friends!
