I have known Jessie since she was in the 9th grade. We met for the first time one Wednesday night at Young Life Club. I remember sitting on the beach at Young Life camp that summer talking about life and family and God. I remember the early morning bible studies we did together with our sweet friends for years. I remember the phone call to let me know that her dad had passed away. I remember beach trips and cookie skillets and SO many talks about boys. Jessie and I have lived a lot of life together over the years! Jessie was there when I fell in love with Aaron and I was there when she fell for Ian.

Ian and Jessie have shown me what it looks like to live life to the fullest. These two love their friends and their families and their communities deeply. They know what it means to show up and love well. Their wedding day is going to be such a sweet picture of our chance to show up for them. Aaron and I were honored when they asked if we would capture their day.

We took a day trip to Richmond for Jessie and Ian’s engagement session. A day trip turned adventure turned double date. The best kind. We wandered through the cobblestones downtown, grabbed a snack at Urban Farmhouse, and then headed to Belle Isle. The light was glorious and these two have a special kind of love. The playful, sweet, happy kind.

Jessie and Ian, thank you for spending the afternoon with us. Thank you for trusting us to capture this season and your wedding this fall.
